Srinagar: Decomposing carcasses and mounds of garbages accumulated at all localities is more dangerous than the flood, says JKLF Chairman Yasin Malik.
Rulers have failed in removing these carcasses and even on 17th day today many localities still remain inundated, therefore people should themselves stand up and take the task of sanitizing their areas Malik said while speaking to the victims of recent floods in Lasjan area.
Malik who visited flood hit areas of Soitaing, Wethpara, Lasjan, Bodipoar, Fish colony, Asthan pora, and other areas distributed relief goods among the needy people. While speaking on the occasion Yasin sahib said that Indian media on the 1st days of flood was busy glorifying the role of Indian army and state in rescuing stranded people but now nobody is bothered to even look into the miseries of Kashmiris.
Our main markets at Lal Chowk, Budshah Chowk, Residency road, Moulana Azad road, Goni Khan, Harisingh High Street, Magarmalbagh, Saraibal, Batamaloo, Karan Nagar, Bemina, Qamarwari, HMT, Barbarshah, Mandirbagh, Jawaharnagar, Rajbagh, etc are still under water and lots of garbage and hence danger of spreading diseases is looming large in Kashmir.
Government of India and its local stooges have not even been able to sanitize these areas. Therefore we appeal to all the residents of these areas to stand up with a passion of self help approach and take the task of sanitizing their areas voluntarily. Yasin sahib said that floods have changed the lives of Kashmiris. Lakhs of shops and business establishments have been totally devastated therefore turning thousands jobless.
