SRINAGAR: According to the IGP Traffic, traffic shall ply from Srinagar to Jammu from 2100 hours to 2400 hours (of previous day) up to 0600 hours of next day while normal traffic will be allowed to ply from Jammu to Srinagar from 0600 hours to 1500 hours. The cut off timing for up traffic will be 1500 hours at Nagrota, 1700 hours at Udhampur and 2200 hours at Jawaher Tunnel and no multi axel/multi-tyre vehicles will be allowed to ply on NHW till further orders.
During down traffic day, the traffic will ply from 2100 ( of previous day) up to 0600 hours of convoy day and no traffic will be allowed to ply from 0600 hours to 0900 hours towards Jammu from Levdora. However, from 0900 hours to 2000 hours traffic will resume and ply towards Jammu. The cut off timing for down traffic will be 2000 hours at Levdora and 2200 hours at Jawaher tunnel. No-multi-tyre vehicle shall be allowed to ply on NHW till further order, the statement said.
In order to facilitate the passengers, transportation of fruits and essential commodities, the passenger service vehicles (LMVs only), empty oil tankers and fruit laden load carriers (medium only) can use Sinthan Top-Kishtwar route and Mughal road for Jammu after getting clearance from district administration. Similarly, during down traffic day, the passenger service vehicles (LMVs only) and medium load carriers can use Sinthan Top-Kishstwar route and Mughal road for their journey from Jammu towards valley temporarily till the restoration/repair work of NHW-IA especially in Ramsoo road stretch is completed and the traffic movement on NHW-IA will strictly remain one way as per schedule till further orders, it said.
