SRINAGAR: Even as top universities and competent authorities for exams respond to the disasters and unavoidable circumstances by loudly publicizing the decisions to delay examinations and interviews, the State Board of School Education does the same without sounding a word.
“Last January all state exams were delayed due to snowfall. But BOSE did not announce anything. Somehow, the students managed to reach the exam centers but were crestfallen to know that the BOSE had postponed the exam,” said Zubair Malik, a concerned citizen from Kulgam. He alleged that the BOSE authorities were “playing with careers of hundreds of thousands of students.”
Students have wondered why the BOSE authorities fail to flash their decisions. “Although the university of Kashmir has announced its exam postponements but JKBOSE has once again put the examinees in suspense and has went on hibernation.” What has shocked the students even more is the list of 30 phone numbers displayed on the official website but none of them is reportedly working.
Despite repeated attempts, the officials from BOSE could not be reached for comment.
