Srinagar Suspected militants on Friday afternoon fired upon policeman outside Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnags office and injure him critically.
Official sources said that Selection Grade Constable Fayaz Ahmad Bhat (Belt number 631/A), son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, resident of Kulgam was at outside office at about 4:40 pm.
The policeman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura here in critical condition, they said.
Sources informed that the policeman is PSO of DC Anantnag.
