Srinagar: The state government on Thursday said that the daily wagers engaged before January 31, 1994 shall be eligible for regularization and no regularization policy has been formulated for casual and need based workers.
The state Finance minister while responding to the question submitted by the PDP legislator Mushatq Shah about the policy for the regularization of daily wagers, also admitted that no casual and need based worker has been regularized from 2002 to July this year.
The government said that the daily wagers and work charged employees engaged before January 31, 1994 shall be eligible for the regularization after the fulfillment of the criteria. The government said that on the date of the appointment his age was within the minimum and maximum age limit as prescribed for appointment in government service. The daily wager must possess the prescribed academic or technical qualification for the post against which he is required to be regularized. The government said the daily wagers will be regularized against the class-IV posts.
The government stated the aspirant has completed seven years of the continues period of working as daily wage or work charged employee or partially as daily wage and partially as work charged employee.
