SRINGAR The Member of Legislature Assembly (MLA) Mendhar and opposition People Democratic Party’s leader Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan while addressing the Assembly demanded compensation for the kin of minor boy who was killed by a leopard in Poonch district yesterday.
Khan, while addressing the assembly session, asked government to give assurance on floor of the House that it would provide the family of the slain with ex-gratia relief of Rs 5 lac and government job in wild life sanctuary department.
“The concerned authorities must take necessary actions to catch the leopard in order to halt down the man-animal conflict,” he said.
As reported by GNS, the boy identified as Muhammad Abid, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Bhata Dhurian in the Teshil was in a nearby forest along with his grandfather and cattle when a leopard attacked and killed him.
