Srinagar: Scores of nursing employees association held protest demonstrations at Soura Medical Institute on Wednesday accusing that the hospital authorities of turning blind eye towards their plight.
The protesting employees said that the administration is exhibiting step motherly treatment to the nursing staff and their woes are nowhere being listened in the hospital. The protesters stated that it is ironical that on one hand the claims of improving the patent care are being raised while as the fact remains that there is a severe dearth of the staff in the hospital.
They stated that instead of enhancement in the allowances, the rights are being snatched away from them. They said that even the uniforms are not being provided by the administration to them with the junior doctors unnecessarily interfering into the issues of the nursing staff. The protesters stated that their issues must be resolved within a week time or else the situation would worsen in the near future.
