Srinagar: Chairman of Kashmir Committee, Ram Jethmalani today met HCJK leader Shabir Ahmad Shah here.
Shah was accompanied by JKLF-R chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar (BitaKaratey) and Muslim Conference chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar.
According to spokesperson, a thorough discussion on Kashmir issue was held during the meet. Shabir Ahmad Shah while presenting his viewpoint said till Kashmir issue is not resolved, the peace in the subcontinent is a distant dream. He stressed on India to initiate steps to resolve the issue.
Shah according to the statement told Ram Jethmalani that the oppression and coercion upon Hurriyat people continues and human rights violations go unabated here. There is a need to create conducive ground for talks. We consider Kashmir as a dispute and India too should follow the suit and resolve Kashmir issue as per UN resolutions or through tripartite meaningful dialogue between India, Pakistan and Kashmiri pro-freedom leadership, Shah said during the meeting.
