Srinagar: Watchman of a private contractor slipped to death in Central Kashmirs Kangan town of Ganderbal district while, a 10th standard girl student hanged self to death in Tulail area of North Kashmirs Bandipora district.
Police sources said that Fayz Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Aziz resident of Barlam Panzin Kangan employed by a private contractor as a watchman slipped into a canal fed by Sindh river at Barlam on Monday evening while he was washing utensils there.
His body was fished out from the canal near Kichpara, three kilometers down the stream.
Meanwhile, in Tulail Bandipora, a 10th class girl student Gul Naz Banoo daughter of Muhammad Maqbool Lone was found dead but CNS without quoting any evidence reported she ended her life by hanging herself in her room. Police have taken cognizance of both the cases and have started investigation.
