Srinagar: Police Monday registered a case against some local youth of Takken village in South Kashmirs Pulwama district after they allegedly abused and thrashed some college girls of Abhama village while they were on way to their college.
We were dragged from the bus at Tekken village and the local youth not only abused us but tried to torn our clothes as well, CNS quoted one of the girl students as said.
A police official said that a feud is going on between the villagers of Abhama, Tekken and Belav over a pasture land. Court has given judgment in favour of Abhama villagers and now some miscreants from Tekken village are harassing Abhama locals. These miscreants not only stop the vehicles and drag the Abhama locals from them in their village but also indulge in thrashing and abuse on innocent commuters, police said.
Station House Officer Rajpora said that they have registered an FIR against the miscreants. After the complaint filed by girl students, we have identified the miscreants and a formal case has been registered against them, he said.
