Srinagar: A 22-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside his home here in Khanyar area of old city on Saturday.
The decaesed was identified as Zahid Mushtaq son of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan of Badu Bagh, Khanyar area.
Family members of the deceased rushed him to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, sources said.
A police official said that they have registered a case under 174 CrPc and further investigations have been taken up.
