Srinagar: Hours after the alleged firing incident in Karnah area of frontier district in Kupwara during Army recruitment rally, Congress leader and Member of Legislative Council, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Qazi Mehboob Ellahi General Secretary JK Pradesh Congress Committee and another senior leader Syed Yaseen Shah issued a joint statement expressing grief over the death of a youth in Army firing at Chahmkot Karnah.
These leaders expressed their, deepest anguish over the firing incident in which one young boy got killed leaving many others injured during the recruitment by Territorial Army at Karnah in District Kupwara.
Statement quoting Monga and others read that they condemned this incident and demanded immediate judicial probe into the incident. He (Monga) sympathized with bereaved family, the statement reads.
Pertinently, during Army recruitment rally at Chamkot, a few people sustained injuries who according to police are all stable.
