SRINAGAR: The supporters of a leader from National Conference Wednesday staged a protest outside Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s Gupkar residence here, seeking poll ticket in favour of Haji Nazirudin Baba from Zadibal, the party’s block treasurer.
The supporters of Baba alleged that the incumbent MLA from Zadibal Pir Afaq has miserably failed to take the local voters into confidence and there is a wide gap between people and MLA.
The protestors carrying banners and placards demanded that National Conference high command should not award mandate to incumbent MLA and it should repose faith in Haji Nazirudin Baba who according to protestors was more popular in the area.
