Srinagar: Hundreds of qualified youth from the physical education subject held protest demonstrations in Srinagar-urging the state authorities to adjust them on ReT pattern of recruitment.
The protesters said that they have completed their post graduation in physical education and are unemployed from the last several years. They asked the stated authorities to adjust them as Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers were given the employed. They stated that they met education and physical education ministers and urged them to end their woes.
It was informed further that they approached the chief ministers office wherein Tanvir Sadiq assured them of taking up the matter with the chief minister. We requested him to allow us to meet our CM. He got irritated, told us that meeting him, means meeting the CM. We later left his office disheartened. Reports informed that after holding protest sit-in at Srinagars press- enclave, they were bundled in police vehicles and detained at police station Kothi Bagh.
