Srinagar: Days after Health and Medical Education Department revealed that incumbent in-charge Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipore and Hajin has secured the appointment in the government department after producing fake diploma certificates, Central Vigilance Department has formally registered a case against the said officer.
Reliable sources said that a group of unemployed youth registered a complaint claiming that then sanitary Inspector and presently incharge Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipore and Hajin Shakeel Ahmed Shah resident of Gundpora Bandipore has secured the job by producing fake testimonials.
Sources said that the matter was investigated by Deputy Secretary to Government, Health and Medical Education Department vide order number SMF/SGR/Verf/277-78.
The report revealed that the sanitary inspectors diploma certificate seems to be fake and a thorough investigation from top investigating agency is required to clear all the doubts.
The revelations made by the top official of Health and Education Department about the fake testimonials forced Central Vigilance Department and Jammu and Kashmir Police to verify the authenticity of the certificates.
A top police official who is investigating the matter said that they are waiting for Vigilance report. If proven guilty, accused will face the music and we will book him under law, he said.
