Jammu: Provincial President National Conference Mr Devinder Singh Rana on Friday took strong exception to impending decision of the Centre to establish toll collection plazas at Thandikhoi and Bann even as the four lanning project on National High across Jammu and Kashmir is yet to be completed.
This will be a burden on the people, he said while urging the Chief Minister Mr Omar Abdullah to take up with the concerned ministry at the centre for reviewing the decision.
In a statement, Rana termed the move as anti-people, saying this will have adverse effect on the overall economy and passenger transport. The consequential impact will add to the miseries of people who are already braving inflation, he said and hoped that the Chief Ministers intervention will save the people from this avoidable burden.
