Srinagar: Awami Ittihaad Party President and MLA Langate Engineer Rashid has scathingly criticized Peoples Democratic Party for inducting retired police officer with dubious records, former IGP Crime and IPS officer Raja Ajaz Ali, into party fold ,and designated him as Uri Assembly Segment Party Candidate as his role is under scanner in the death of National Conference Worker Sayeed Yousuf allegedly at CM Residence. According to a statemen, Engineer Rashid stated that silence of National Conference over the said issue is meaningful as the party prefers to keep mum as it is worried several secrets might be unmasked.
PDP during the death of Sayeed Yousuf allegedly at CM residence had left no stone unturned to criticize the role of said official and cast its own aspersions in what the party had termed alleged killing of NC worker at CM Residence and now his induction into PDP entails nothing but political hypocrisy of PDP and the sheer intellectual bankruptcy of PDP, stated Engineer Rashid.
PDP which was sometime back lecturing on crime free, clean slated corruption free elements in polity has brushed all this aside for petty vote–bank politics .We want to question how once under scanner and corrupt elements have become clean by joining PDP, added Engineer Rashid.
Joining of Raja Ajaz Ali into politics is not questionable, but PDP, NC should come clean over the sensitive issue . Both parties need to come with clear stance over the issue. Despite creating so much hue and cry at the time of killing of Sayeed Yousuf how come PDP inducted Raja Ajaz demands effective answers and NC also needs to answer why it is silent over the whole issue, added Engineer Rashid.
