A deep concern and shock was expressed by the members present in the meeting about the news regarding the shifting of Tosamaidan shooting site to Sangarwani/ Kathohalan/ Heerpora range, it is mentioned here that Heerpora is the first destination of Mughal road where wildlife sanctuary and some tourist spots are also located.
People of south Kashmir in general and Shopian in particular, have been deeply irked by the anti people, anti constitutional proposal of the authorities. Such act is bound to shatter the ecological balance and in turn the horticulture sector will also be badly affected. The spokesman said: It was also decided that all walks of the life and school of thoughts of the district will be taken on board, so that joint strategy could be chalked out to prevent any such move as this revengeful attitude of the authorities towards this hilly area will never be tolerated.
