SRINAGAR : Sayed Salahudin, chief of the largest militant coalition UJC based in Pakistan administered Kashmir, Wednesday said, “the exodus of thousands of Kashmiri speaking Shavite Hindus was a conspiracy and their return to the proposed settlements or the homelands would be yet another conspiracy.”
In a statement circulated by the newsgathering agency KNS, Salahudin has asked the separatist leadership to bury the hatchet for a “common cause” and oppose tooth and nail the “anti-movement strategies”. According to KNS, UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoted Sallahudin as said, “The pundits are welcome in Kashmir. They must live at their ancestral places as they used to live for centuries. Separate homeland will widen the gaps and in no way could be termed a step for promoting harmony between the two communities in valley.
The UJC Chief has further stated, It was the Governor Jagmohan who, under the well planned strategy, ensured the exodus of pandits and now their return is also a deep rooted conspiracy to make the Muslim majority insecure here.
He stated that the Modi government’s priorities include the permanent resident certificates for the refugees of 1947 so that the Muslim majority status of Jammu and Kashmir could be eroded. Salahudin maintained that such tactics must be opposed in a unanimous approach so that no one is allowed to fiddle with JKs identity and to give the same a communal color. We will not allow settlement of 1947 refugees and also the settlement of pandits on Israeli style shall be opposed.
