Srinagar: Police has arrested three persons who had allegedly misbehaved with some schoolgirls from Higher Secondary School Kreeri, Pattan, a Police spokesman said Wednesday adding that an FIR had already been lodged.
Some schoolgirls and their parents Wednesday protested against Syed Adnan Bukhari son of Syed Zahoor Bukhari, Abdul Wahid Bukhari son of Syed Bashir Bukhari and Sheikh Shahnawaz son of Ghulam Hasan residents of Kreeri. They alleged that the boys had misbehaved with some girl students past evening.
Police lodged an FIR No.41 U/S 294,506 RPC and investigations have begun. All the accused have been arrested. Some persons amongst the mob pelted stones on the Police which used a mild force to disperse the mob. The situation is normal now, the statement said.
