KUPWARA: Financial literacy awareness camps were held at Hajinar, Karnah, Tulwari and Khumriyal in district Kupwara. A large number of people attended these camps. Representatives from Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicrafts, KVIB, DIC, Sheep and Animal Husbandry departments apprised people about various schemes available with their departments.
Zahoor Ahmad Mir, SDM Karnah presided over the function at Hajinar, Karnah. The General Manager, Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank was also present on the occasion. The unemployed youth were asked to take advantage of different lending schemes available with the Bank in order to earn their livelihood.
ADC Kupwara, Bilal Ahmad Bhat presided over the function at Tulwari, Khumriyal. V.K. Sharma, Sr. Manager, Micro-Finance/ Financial Inclusion apprised the people about the aims and objectives of Financial Inclusion Programmes. Sr. Manager, Advances, A.H. Khan apprised the participants about different lending schemes available with the Bank.
