SRINAGAR: Top leaders of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, J&K’s premier nationalist outfit with a military past, will mobilize supporters in Pakistan to push the outfit’s “quit Kashmir movement” slated to be launched on June 23.
A JKLF spokesman from Pakistan while quoting Vice Chairman Abdul Hamid Butt, said, “JKLF will organize various programs in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan also and on 25th June 2014 JKLF will organize a protest sit-in at United Nations observers office in Islamabad Pakistan, where a memorandum to secretary general Ban-ki Moon will be handed over to his office. JKLF supreme head Jenab Aman Ullah Khan will lead this protest.”
Elaborating the various programs to be organized in Azad Kashmir ,Pakistan and across the globe in this regard ,JKLF spokesman Rafiq Ahmad Dar said besides Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Pakistan similar kind of protest programs will be held in Europe, USA,UK ,Canada ,UAE etc . The statement said these programs will be as a “show of solidarity with Kashmiri people and highlight the nefarious designs of RSS and BJP regarding Jammu Kashmir.”
The “quit Kashmir movement’ was announced by JKLF Chief Mohammad Yasin Malik . Yasin sahib said that on 23rd of June (death anniversary of Shayama Prashad Mukhrajee) RSS and BJP celebrate the day as the integration day of Kashmir with India. “BJP has already said that it will give Sharnarthees (refugees) the status of permanent residents. These nefarious designs and conspiracies are being hatched to defeat our resistance movement and to change the demography of Jammu Kashmir that is a Muslim majority state.”
Yasin Malik said, “The people of Jammu Kashmir cannot remain silent over these ill designs and will resist this anti Kashmir approach of RSS and BJP.” He had appealed to the people of Kashmir to observe 23rd June 2014 as quit Kashmir day and observe a total protest strike on this day and March towards Lal Chowk to resist the nefarious designs of enemies of Kashmiri with through their peaceful and firm reply.
