Srinagar: Police arrested two persons and recovered two bags of Tripatri (forest produce) from them in north Kashmirs Kupwara area, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that during night hours, police intercepted a Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK09-6970 at Lalpora Kupwara. During the search of the vehicle police recovered two bags of Forest produce (Tripatri). Two persons Khursheed Ahmad Khan son of Hyder Khan and Parvaiz Ahmad Mir son of Nazir Ahamd Mir residents of Kakarpati Devsar travelling in the vehicle were arrested.
Police has registered a case FIR number 34/14 under section 379,109 RPC 6 Forest Act in this regard.
