Srinagar Polices Special Operation Group and army on Thursday morning conducted search operation in North Kashmirs Sopore town, a GNS report, quoting sources.
Sources said that armys 22 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG cordoned off Sangrampora, Khushhal Matto, Jamia Masjid Sopore and Batapora areas and conducted searches following reports of presence of militants.
The searches in the Apple Town came after militant attack in Kanispora area of Baramulla on Wednesday late evening, which is some 7 kilometers from Sopore town.
However, no one was detained during the searches, sources added.
