Srinagar: Expressing dismay over the ouster of some Kashmiri students from the hostel of a Ghaziabad college, senior PDP leader and Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra has sought the intervention of UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in the matter.
The UP Government should take up the matter with the concerned college authorities and ensure re-admission of the students in the hostel so that their career is safeguarded, Karra saidin a statement today.
Karra said he would take up the issue with the Union Human Resource Development Minister so that such incidents dont recur in future. Such incidents only fuel alienation among the Kashmiri youth and add to the trust deficit, he said and added that an advisory should go from the Centre to all the chief ministers to avoid recurrence of such incidents.
Karra said Kashmiri students facing any such issues in any part of the country should get in touch with the PDP MPs so that the same are brought into the notice of the concerned quarters in the Government of India.
