Srinagar: Maintaining that the employees leadership will not allow anyone to play politics over the demands of employees, the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) Friday stated that it looks forward for the fulfillment of other demands pending with the government.
JCC leader Abdul Qayoom Wani said that the problem the state employees are facing at present is the delay in the disbursement of the DA.
It is in the budget provision. The government only needs to disburse it once it becomes due. This belated payment of the DA is a concern for the employees, he said.
Wani stated that the JCC has already in a written memorandum to the government stated that the service benefits of RT teachers and contractual employees be provided to them.
If you cannot give them the amount of the previous years of the service at least give them the service benefits so that their years of duty could not get wasted, the JCC leader said.
He stated that there are other demands of the employees pending with the government and that the JCC leadership is hopeful that the same shall be fulfilled in the near future.
The regularization of the daily wages and the casual laborers is among our basic demands and the government has already assured the resolution of the pending issues in the near future, he said.
Wani while commenting over the political debate that has been triggered between Congress and NC with both the parties claiming credit for the decision, stated that the enhancement in the retirement age was the long pending demand of the employees and that its leadership is thankful to the Omar Abdullah led coalition for fulfilling the demand.
There must be no politics involved in the demand of the employees. We demanded our rights and will continue to tread the same path, Wani added.
