Jammu & Kashmir June 3, 2014: Aircel, a leading mobile service provider has expanded its retail footprint across India by setting up 200 XPRESS Stores. These XPRESS Stores are based on the FOFO (Franchisee Owned Franchisee Operated) model and will exclusively provide Aircels products and services, new connections, recharges and top-ups, resolution of customer queries, assistance and support to all new and existing Aircel customers. Furthermore, Aircel plans to increase the number up to 500 by the mid of next year to expand across India.
Speaking at the occasion, Vipul Saurabh, National Head Operations & Customer Support, Aircel, said, We are delighted to expand our national retail footprint by opening up 200 Aircel XPRESS Stores across the country. These XPRESS Stores are Franchisee Owned and Franchisee Operated, which is a testimonial to the trust and belief that our trade partners have in the brand Aircel.
He added, This partnership with trade is a rewarding model for both Aircel and the franchisee owners as we are able to make our customers experience unique products and services through the XPRESS Stores and franchisees get to set up a sustainable business. We plan to elevate the number of Aircel XPRESS Stores to 500 stores by first half of 2015. Aircel is one of the fastest growing telecom players in the country, thus setting up XPRESS Stores is a big boost for our acquisition strategy and will play a significant role in strengthening our relationships with customers and franchisees alike.
Aircel observed that these stores are extremely convenient touch points where customers can get access to a variety of services. Hence, it embarked on a strong retail footprint to enable retailers to extend support and convenience to the customers.
