SRINAGAR: In a shocking incident a minor student at an Islamic seminary was allegedly sodomised by his teacher in Anantnag district, official sources said on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Abdullah Ibn Masood seminary in Laridath Watchoo in Pahalgam area of the district.
The accused has been arrested, police sources said.
The accused has been identified as Nisar Ahmad Khan from Trehgam.
He allegedly sodomised his 12-year-old student in the seminary, police said adding a case has been registered under FIR number 31/2014 under 377 RPC.
The accused has been lodged in Pahalgam police station, official sources added.
