Srinagar: Contractual Lecturers working in different colleges of Kashmir Valley Wednesday asked the State Government to frame a job policy for them on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers.
A delegation of contractual lecturers said that Government had assured them that a proper job policy will be formulated for them and accordingly they will be regularized in accordance with Civil Services Special Provision Act 2010.
So far, neither the government formulated any job policy for them nor their services were regularized, a lecturer Arshid Ahmed said adding that most of the lecturers are PhD holders while majority of them have qualified NET.
They appealed Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister to look into their genuine demand and fulfill that accordingly.
