KUPWARA: Scores of people staged a protest in Zubkurhama area of Lolab Valley in frontier district of Kupwara against the ailing education system in the district .
Protestors alleged that in some schools of Lolab Valley there were more teachers than students while in some only one teacher manages the affairs.
Locals of Zubkurhama Lolab alleged that there are only two teachers in Government Middle School located in the area who are unable to do justice with the 400 students enrolled there.
The protestors said that they brought the matter into the notice of higher ups but nothing has been done in this regard.
The higher ups in Education Department are in slumber and they dont know what is going on. At Takia Kurhama, one kilometer away from this Middle School there are two teachers for only four students studying in Primary School there, the father of a student Manzoor Ahmed said. (CNS)
