Srinagar: Army and Police claimed to have recovered war like stores from the north Kashmir districts of Baramulla and Kupwara.
In a statement issued here, a defence spokesman said that during early hours on Friday, troops based on specific intelligence inputs raided a suspected militant hideout at Poshwani area of Pattan in District Baramulla.
During the search of the area the forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition which included 02 AK 47 rifles along with 03 magazines and 79 rounds of ammunition, 03 rounds of RPG, 01 round of 51mm RPG, 01 UBGL, 13 rounds of UBGL, 03 IEDs circuit along with approximately 100 grams of explosive, 04 hand grenades and other equipment.
Earlier on 22 May 14, during another joint operation a hideout was busted in Okhapani forests in Handwara area of District Kupwara which resulted in recovery of huge quantity of administrative stores including over 100 Kgs of dry ration, cooking oil, condiments and other stores required for construction of hideout.
