Baramulla, May 20 : The Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Farooq Ahmad Lone has asked Horticulture Department to prepare advisory for the orchardists and farmers of the District about protecting the horticulture crop in view of the prevailing inclement weather.
The Deputy Commissioner today chaired a meeting of concerned officers and asked them to visit the horticulture areas and advise the farmers about the sprays, fertilizers and other interventions after assessment on the ground.
Lone asked the officers of Horticulture Department to use all resources at their command and protect the coming crop by timely advising the orchardists as the sector fetches livelihood to a majority of people of the district.
