Srinagar: Police on Monday arrested the president of Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK), a GNS report said, quoting official sources.
Official sources said that Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan was arrested by Karan Nagar police station and booked under the Unlawful Activities Act.
An FIR no 15/2009 has been lodged against him in police station Karan Nagar under section 13 (unlawful activities), the agency report said, quoting official.
On Saturday, Hassan in a statement had accused BJP and Congress of strengthening the alleged illegal occupation with military might.
