Magam: Stray dogs mauled at least two schoolchildren at Kanihama Narbal village on Monday, spreading panic in the area.
Locals said the two schoolchildren of Government Primary School Kanihama Narabal were about to enter the school premises when they were attacked by stray dogs. The injured girls, both 4th class students, were rushed to Sub-District hospital for treatment. Both have suffered head injuries. They have been identified as Neelofar Jan and Iqra Jan.
Meanwhile CNS quoted headmaster of the School Muhammad Majid as said, ” a local businessman has some pet dogs. A pack of stray dogs always appear near his gate that is adjacent to the school. These dogs always bark at the school-going children and sometimes attack them. He has claimed over hundred strays are roaming the area, endangering the life of the residents.
