Srinagar, Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) President and MLA Langate Er Rashid Saturday visited the home of two slain political activists at Warsun Kupwara who were killed in Inter-party clashes and termed the loss of human life as a result of electoral confrontation condemnable.
According to a statement issued here, Rashid while addressing an obituary gathering, criticized the political parties for using common people for their petty political gains and for spreading not just hatred among people but forcing them to take one another precious lives.
Political parties are using exploitative means and poor people are hoodwinked by these selfish slogans and are becoming enemy of one another and as a result losing their precious lives. I demand from the state Government to investigate the Warsun tragic episode and identify the culprits who fueled the violence in the area and also identify on whose whims violence was carried out, stated Engineer Rashid
Engineer Rashid later met the family of deceased persons and assured them full assistance. He also appealed to the Government to help these poor families. Engineer Rashid observed that political parties for their dirty politics make people so much emotional that they kill their own brothers.
Political parties have not only destroyed the amity and brotherhood of Kashmir prevalent since ages and have destroyed peoples lives but now are crossing all limits by getting people killed. I appeal to people that irrespective of their affiliation to any political party they should keep their homes safe and promote humanity and brotherhood. Kashmir has already given thousands of sacrifices for the resolution of its basic dispute and so I make an appeal to my nation that for the sake of Allah dont kill yourselves for lustful interests of politicians, added Rashid.
