It was harder to shift voter to coalition candidate
Srinagar, May 16 : Congratulating opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for its success in Lok Sabah elections, Minister for agriculture and coalition ally Ghulam Hassan Mir on Friday said that it is the electoral process which has succeeded in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to KNS, Mir admitted that Lok Sabah verdict will surely impact the Legislative Assembly results and the opposition party will gain from this impact. When asked why his vote could not be transferred to coalition candidate, Mir said that he had already elaborated that it was difficult to transfer his vote as he has always fought elections against national Conference in his constituency.
It was very difficult to transfer the vote in Tangmarag and the votes polled in his constituency have went to coalition candidate, he added. He also appreciated PDP for singularly working hard in the Lok Sabah elections which have yielded dividends for them.
