Srinagar,:An extra ordinary joint meeting of Executive council, General Counsel and working Committee was held at Hurriyat headquarters under the chairmanship of Mirwaiz Dr. Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq, a statement issued by Hurriyat M to KNS said.
The statement added that the representatives of all the constituents of Hurriyat M participated in the meeting. The participants took stock of current political situation with special focus on finalizing the arrangements for making Hafta-i- Shohda (Martyrs Week) programmes a grand success.
In the meeting the participants discussed the means and methods to make the Hurriyat Programmes of the seminars on 18th May, at Hurriyat Headquarters, 22nd May, at Kralpora Kupwara in connection with the Hafta-i- Shohda (Martyrs Week) as well as the Eidgah March on 21st May a grand success in order to pay tributes to the martyrs of Kashmir.
Paying rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Moulvi Mohammad Farooq, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khwaja Abdul Gani Lone, Martyrs of Hawal and all the martyrs of the movement. The participants retreated that they would continue with the struggle, for which lakhs of people sacrificed their life, till it reaches to its logical conclusion. They stated that the best solution of Kashmir issue was to resolve it in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris which would bring stability in South Asia, adding, Hurriyat Conference would continue to pursue its struggle on all levels till a just solution of Kashmir issue is found.
During the meeting the participants decided that Hurriyat leaders would take out rallies from Tehsil and District Headquarters on May 21 which would later converge at the Eidgah.
