Ganderbal: Pointing to rising levels of intolerance in Kashmir society, a man at Ganderbal dropped dead his cousin for not handing him motorcycle keys.
“Cousins Abdul Ahad Guroo and Ghulam Muhammad Guroo had heated arguments over the motorcycle keys at their native village Rabitar, Lati Shadipora in Ganderbal district,” eyewitnesses said. The police said that the family members of both joined the course and during the violent fight Abdul Ahad Guroo hit his 25-year-old cousin Ghulam Muhammad Guroo with an iron rod, leaving in a pool of blood.
The victim according to police succumbed to injuries at SKIMS. We have arrested the assailant Ahad Guroo along with his wife and daughter who reportedly instigated Guroo to attack his cousin. A case vide FIR number 70/2014 under section 147, 447, 336, 427, 354, 307 and 302 of RPC has been registered against the culprits, Station House Officer Shadipora, Muhammad Shaban said.
He added that some agitated people tried to attack the house of the assailants but the police swung into action in time and beefed up the security in the area. (CNS)
