SRINAGAR: A youth, who was arrested, five months back, Monday escaped from local court complex Baramulla in north Kashmir.
Yasir Mir son of Abdul Rashid Mir, a resident of Hazratbal, Srinagar escaped police custody before being produced in the local court, official sources said.
Mir, police said, was taken into custody in connection with alleged drug peddling case under FIR No. 47/2013 under section 8/18 NDPS Act by police station Sheeri, Baramulla almost 5-months back.
Following his escape police carried out raids at number of places to arrest Mir. However, when last reports came in Mir was on run. (GNS)
