BARAMULLA: Aga Syed Abdulhussain Mosavi Saturday filed nomination papers as an Independent candidate from Baramulla parliamentary constituency.
Aga Mosavi, younger son of late Hujatul Islam Agha Syed Mustafa Mosavi drove from his Magam election office in a cavalcade to Baramulla where he filed nomination papers before Deputy Commissioner. A large number of supporters chanting Islamic slogans accompanied him to the D.C. Office Baramulla.
Talking to reporters after filing nomination papers Aga said his primary goal to enter electoral fray was to safeguard cultural ethos of Kashmir which according to him are under threat.
My objective is to strive legally to my capability for preservation of Islamic culture of Kashmir and to fight against the ongoing cultural aggression on people of Kashmir, he said.
Talking about his election manifesto Abdulhussain said, My election manifesto urges all Kashmiris to wakeup from the slumber and stand to regain lost glory and prestige of the state.
It is a fact that Kashmir was known an abode of saints across the world, but at the moment the situation is totally otherwise.
If voted to power I pledge and promise to make those at the helm accountable before every Kashmiri for their political follies, Aga vowed.
