SRINAGAR: A workshop was organized in Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar in connection with World RB Day in collaboration with District TB centre and State TB Society.
The Principal Government Medical College, Srinagar, Dr. Rafiq Ahmad Pampori was the chief guest on the occasion, while renowned Pulmonologist, Dr. M.Y. Kawoosa and State TB Officer, Dr. G.A Wani and senior faculty of the hospital were present on the occasion.
Addressing the workshop, Dr. Pampori that state TB Society authorities should sent its teams to far flung and remote areas to identify TB patients and organize awareness camps to aware the general public about the debilitating disease, its causes and preventions.
He urged the State TB society to involve Asha Workers and Anganwari workers for identifying TB patients in village and remote areas of the valley.
The faculty members of the hospital also spoke on the occasion.
Later, a power point presentation was also presented by organizers how to sensitize public about TB prevention and eradication.
