Kangan: The dead body of a missing person was recovered by police in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Monday.
Police sources said that 44 years old Abdul Rashid Gigi son of Abdul Rehman resident of Palapora Kangan was missing from past 2 days. His family members had lodged a missing report in police station Kangan.
Police on Monday recovered his dead body from Cherwan power canal and after completing all the formalities handed over the body to the family. A police official said that investigation has been taken up while there are reports that the slain was mentally retarded.
