SRINAGAR: Municipal Corporations of Srinagar and Jammu with the help of other related organizations will do a survey with regard to buildings constructed in violation of Master Plan in twin cities of Jammu and Srinagar.
Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation told CNS that a meeting was held in Jammu which was presided by Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development Satish Nehru who gave broad guidelines for drawing out the map of these violations in Srinagar and Jammu .
Commissioner SMC, G.N.Qasba said that this survey shall focus on buildings and constructions which have come up over a period of time In violation of the Master plan. Two survey committees were constituted with members from various organizations like Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Srinagar Development Authority, Lakes and Waterways Development Authority, Jammu Development Authority, Jammu Municipal Corporation and Town Planning.
The committees shall be assisted by the enforcement and town planning wings of these line departments .The committees shall have to submit the report within a period of two months and accordingly the report of the committees shall be forwarded to high-level technical committee for decision on further course of appropriate action on case to case basis.
