Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Wednesday refuted the news reports about the death toll in Kashmir and asked media persons to correct them.
Omar Abdullah Wednesday corrected certain media reports by tweeting reports of the death toll that the media is reporting are not correct & are much higher than the actual toll.
In the next tweet, Omar wrote that the state govt has offered to place a helicopter to fly out any injured people should the need be felt medical advice.
Omar assured that his administration is on task. The avalanche in South Kashmirs Kulgam district has resulted in 3 deaths & approx 8 injuries. The DC is supervising rescue efforts, he wrote.
The injured are being treated in the district hospital, and the nature of injuries are not reported to be life threatening at this moment, he wrote.
