ANANTNAG: District administration sealed a Unani and Panchkarma hospital here today after medicines available in the hospital drug store were found to be outdated.
The hospital located at Achabal Adda was sealed immediately after recieving a complaint regarding the sale of expired medicine (Septilin batch no H701003e) from the official counter of the hospital.
As per reports one Sajad Ahmad resident of Bangidar, Anantnag admitted his daughter in the said hospital for treatment where he was given expired medicine from the medicine counter of the hospital.
Sajad Ahmad filed a complaint before Tehsildar Anantnag who swung his team into action and sealed the hospital.
During our raid we found all the medicines available in the hospital expired and subsequently we sealed the hospital, Tehsildar said adding that a doctor and a medico have been arrested in this regard. (CNS)
