SRINAGAR: Assembly Secretariat, under the orders of Speaker Mubarak Gul forwarded a copy of the reply received from the former Chief of Army Staff Retd. Gen. V.K. Singh to all the signatories of the breach of privilege notice, a spokesperson of Legislative Assembly said today.
The reply from the VK Singh was received in response to a letter sent by the Assembly Secretariat to him seeking therein his comments with regard to certain revelations made by him during the course of interviews on Times Now and CNN-IBN for which a Breach of Privilege Notice against him was given by 15 ministers and members to the Speaker.
While forwarding the reply of the Gen.(r) Singh to the signatories of the Breach of Privilege Notice a request has been made to them to furnish their comments if any to the Speaker after the perusal of the same within a weeks time thereby paving way for further course of action in the matter. He has further said that the Honble Speaker also ordered to make public the reply of the Gen. through Print and Electronic Media.
