SRINAGAR: The application seeking report as to who had provided arms and ammunition to the notorious counterinsurgent Papa Kishtwari was listed alongwith main case before 1st Additional District Judge Subhash Chandra Gupta.
According to CNS, the Counsels Advocate Babar Jan Qadri along with Advocate Sabzar and Gowhar Maqdoomi appearing for the complainant Zahoor Ahmed Mir with regard to the recovery of arms and ammunition from Papa Kishtwari Thursday informed the Court that police administration was playing delaying tactics in filing the status report.
They pleaded that SSP Srinagar has not filed status report till date and it appears that police administration was playing a delaying tactics in the garb of seeking adjournments.
They informed the court that non-recovery of arms and ammunition was posing a potential threat to the public at large and to the complainant in particular.
The Court directed SSP Srinagar to submit status report before December 26.
