SRINAGAR: An elderly woman was killed and two others were injured in separate road accidents in Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
A Tractor without registration number driven by one Sajad Ahmad hit a 77 years woman Zooni Begum widow of Abdul Khaliq resident of Check Ganastan at Check Ganastan, Sonawari, resulting in her on the spot death, he said.
In another similar incident, the spokesman said that a Tata Mini Bus bearing registration number JK03/2476 driven by Tariq Ahmad hit and injured a pedestrian Tahir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Akingam Anantnag at old KMD Bus stand Anantnag. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag for treatment
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK07/1189 hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK16/4893 near Chapargund, Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Javed Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Yarmukam, he said. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Ganderbal for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
