SRINAGAR: Separatist leaders in Kashmir have expressed serious concern over the activities of German Ambassador Michael Steiner in Kashmir.
They have said Mr Steiners developmental activities in the valley are a planned conspiracy.
The German Ambassador, who was the brain behind the musical by internationally acclaimed orchestra conductor Zubin Mehta in September this year, recently inaugurated a solar plant to a village.
He also donated a bus to a school.
Chief of the womens separatist group, Dukhtaran-e-Millat, or Daughters of Nation, Asiya Andrabi said the move is aimed to eradicate the cultural and moral ethics in Kashmir.
It is a global conspiracy to uproot the cultural values of Kashmir, and the donation of the solar plant and other social works being done by Germany is nothing but a conspiracy.
Spokesman of the hardline faction of separatist alliance Hurriyat Conference said: It is really sad that instead of expressing their serious concerns about the Kashmir dispute, the European countries are indulging in non issues.
Democratic Freedom Party Chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah while expressing concern said people of Kashmir will never fall in such traps and that the international community must concentrate for the resolution of Kashmir at the earliest.
The people here do not need solar lights; they need peace acceptable to them and the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. KNS
