SRINAGAR: Former bureaucrat, who retired as Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, Wednesday alleged that police was not clearing his passport even after the expiry of one and a half year.
Abdul Wahid Tak who held position of Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag said that one and a half year ago, as a senior citizen he had applied for a passport but he was still waiting for his passport.
I wonder why so much time was taken on the name of verification despite the fact I had served on important positions. This is the case with a former bureaucrat and I wonder how much difficulties common people must be facing in getting their passports cleared, he said. (CNS)
